Outline Editions "Clear Your Head" & Stolen Space "Flowers"

On the odd occasion we do tend to venture out of our new studio and look around any exhibitions that catch our eye. I was lucky enough to receive an invite to the private opening of Anthony Burrill’s “Clear your head” exhibition (after receiving a rather nice invite through the post) – we thought we would also have a look around “The Flower Show” by Kai & Sunny over at Stolen Space.

After a rather amusing journey into London (listening in to some very pretentious conversations on the train) – we arrived at Stolen Space slightly taken back at the sheer scale of each piece – you can’t really appreciate the size from photographs! I found the beauty of these abstract close ups of flowers truly fascinating. If only my wallet was a little larger to purchase some of this pieces.

Over at Outline editions for the Anthony Burrill exhibition, although slightly crammed full of people, the exhibition featured over 30 new eye catching prints, as well as colaberations  with Wilfrid Wood and Michael Marriott.

"TAKE ME HOME" released digitally

With the risk of sounding like the “A-Human” super groupie - they have released the fantastically catchy number "Take Me Home" as a Double A-side along with La Sharks "I Know What You Did Last Summer". If you like the song as much as I do you can purchase it from here http://sodarnso.bandcamp.com/album/a-human-la-shark

Alan Aldridge Design Museum Exhibition 2008

After flicking through my copies of The Butterfly’s Ball, The Beatles Illustrative Lyrics and The Man with Kaleidoscope Eyes at the weekend – it reminded me how utterly fantastic and inspiring the Design Museums 2008 exhibition was. My work buddies and I all took a trip down to London to have a look around, I distinctly remember leaving the museum feeling like we had just taken a walk through Alan Aldridge’s sub-conscious.
